Hi to all! If you have been following me for a
while you know what a cat lover I am. I must confess, though, that I have not had a lot of luck and too many have passed on from various causes. The last was Casey, 3 years ago, from a sudden thrombosis. I always think of him in May (when I began writing this) because he used to watch the tennis tournaments with me. This is a picture of him up in front of the TV watching the balls go back and forth as we watched Rolland Garros, which is one of the most important events in the tennis world and
takes place in Paris at the end of May.
Red and Casey, orange tabbies, were so adorable together. Casey was much smaller but his hair was silky and longer than Reds. Red is a Ring Tail Cat and I can see some
Maine Coon in him. He is huge and very fluffy with big paws and pointy hair at the tips of the ears, common to Maine Coons. That brings me to my bad luck again story. I was grooming him and thought I found a knot on his belly. It turned out to be a growth and he had surgery to remove it and a biopsy. His staples were removed a couple of days ago and they are sending his files to a Veterinarian Oncology Center where I have to make an appointment for further evaluation. In between, I am dealing
with my husband's health issues and keeping up with my online business. Don't ask.
Red was not happy with the cone and since he was a good boy and left the wound alone I was able to let him be without it. I tried a cat shirt but he was too big for
it.
