Hi to all and welcome to new subscribers.Last issue I mentioned that I came across a "call to artists" for a new, beautiful local gallery and that I would be submitting work for their upcoming juried show in October. The good news is that my pieces were juried in. The not great news is that I thought we could only enter three but realized later that
the number was five. Oh well. Next time I will double check the entry form. I am very happy to be in this exciting new show "Contemporary Realism" and hope to see many of you at the Opening Reception. Here are the details:
Opening Reception: October 15, 5-8.
So pleased that my paintings will be among several exhibiting artists and their artwork in a charming, historic setting in the heart of Delray. See you there!
We are being deluged with rain in south Florida and my heart goes out to the victims of our last hurricane as we are facing another barreling towards
us. Even the East Coast where I am located will feel tremendous wind and rain as it travels up the gulf coast. As busy as I am, the rain is when I get more work done because there are less distractions, like tennis, gardening, etc.
The cats are happy I am here with them. Each one finds a spot wherever I am.
Red, my ginger boy and Simba, my Ragdoll, greatgrand cat always have a contest of who gets to the sink first.
They are most happy when I am working on the computer. Then they have lots of comfy spots to settle in as I work on my laptop on the sofa. In my studio when I am painting there are mostly hard surfaces but they squeeze in wherever they can.
Here are some of my recent creations. If you see an original in my Etsy shop and would like that image on a product that I haven't listed just let me know and I will make a listing for it. Click for info on purchasing.
