So much has happened since the June newsletter. Just when I finally got back into steady painting and entered a few shows the hammer came down and, instead of my husband, this time it was Red. His tumor that he had surgery for a couple of years ago came back with a vengeance. With all that long, furry hair I didn't even know until I saw drops of blood and realized it was from him.

He had to have surgery followed by radiation. He needs around 22 days of treatments and Monday will be day 5. It's a long ride back and forth and I have to arrange the schedule to be back to take care of hubby, which includes taking him to PT Mondays and Fridays.

Red is only 10 years old and such a love. Thanks for the healing thoughts on Facebook and emails, etc. He's my snugglepuss and is taking all of this very well. After the surgery I put shirts on him rather than the cone and he was a good boy about it. He stayed put in my studio on a little rug I put there for him and was happy to be with me while I painted.
